KIALLA CHILDREN’S CENTRE STORY
AT KCC WE ARE MORE THAN JUST CHILDCARE OR KINDERGARTEN.
We are a community-run and not-for-profit service set in the lovely surrounds of Kialla.
Our management committee are our Mums and Dads, which means our children and family community always come first. Plus ALL our fees are spent directly on creating innovative, engaging and enriching programs with amazing educators.
We love painting with hands, jumping in puddles, singing loudly, Play-Doh, sandpits and dirt, so come along, leave the mess with us and take the smiles home.
We are renowned for our incredible community, passionate and committed educators (many of whom have been with us for over 10 years and up to 21 years).
At Kialla Children’s Centre our philosophy is to create a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming learning environment for all children in our community based early childhood service.
We provide children with the tools they need for future happiness and success. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interests in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning. Get in touch to learn more!
Kialla Childrens Centre acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as the traditional custodians of the land that our service is built. We pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging, and celebrate their living culture.

KIALLA CHILDREN’S CENTRE MISSION
In an Emergent Curriculum, educators acknowledge that learning and planning emerges from interests, building from the sprouts of curiosity and investigation of the play environment.
Therefore, educators aim to create positive learning environments and guide experiences for each child in conjunction with their families. Educators will observe children and facilitate their learning to provide each child with an individualised portfolio by documenting their learning throughout the year. Children and their families will be encouraged to participate in the ongoing process to promote engaged learning. Communication between family members and our educators are considered crucial for a child to reach their full development.
